"I love you not for what you have made of yourself, but for what you are making of me..."
Aaah love! Isn't that line from Darlene's vow the sweetest to hear? :)
Here are the images from Jay and Darlene's rustic wedding at the lovely and quaint city of Golden, British Columbia. Held at the Hillside Lodge and Chalets, this gorgeous wedding location is not too far away from Edmonton, and the scenery is totally BREATH-TA-KING.
Darlene being prepped for her mutch awaited wedding. *wink
And yes, brides need to be fed. They can get really hungry. :)
And we always have that one friend who laughs so hard.
The first look.
A very chill wedding party. They handled the noontime heat pretty well. Not to mention that we traversed a downhill path just to get to the river. Oh, boy. Tons of mosquitoes!
Another post-shoot selfie.
See? It's not easy. Really. :p
Meanwhile, back at the lodge, guests wait for wedding troop.
Jay as he waits for his bride.
The couples' very first kiss as husband and wife.
And so we have a winner! :p
This barn looks so nice outside and in!
The fun truly begins when the wedding party arrives
And of course a cake cutting ceremony would never be complete without the shovings and all. :p
And even with their mouths full, they still look good eh.
Jay and Darlene's first dance. "I wanna stand with you on a mountain, I wanna bathe with you in the sea. I want to live like this forever until the sky falls down on me..."
And then there's partying.
And then there's the real partying! How fun! :)
And the after all the scheduling, organization, appointments with vendors, and all the hassle that comes with wedding planning... Comes the calm.
They made it. :)
Yes, looks like they did.
And again, I would like to thank Jay and Darlene for giving Michaelangelo the opportunity to cover their very memorable wedding day. CONGRATULATIONS!
Kudos as well to Mikey Stevenson Photography for doing an awesome job as the second shooter. Great job. :)
